Lightyear Network Solutions is an established provider of data, voice and wireless telecommunication services to business and residential customers throughout North America.
Lightyear began operations in 1993 in Louisville, Ky. In 2004, Lightyear built its own VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) network to enhance its product offerings to its customers.
In February 2010, Lightyear (OTCBB: LYNS) became a public company. In October 2010, Lightyear acquired SouthEast Telephone, based in Pikeville, Ky. Today, Lightyear operates from three Kentucky locations: Louisville, Pikeville and Lexington.
Lightyear partners with some of the most prominent names in the industry including: Sprint, Verizon, AT&T, Level 3, Windstream, CenturyLink, tw telecom, XO Communications, Cisco and ADTRAN.
